Tuesday, July 9 - Versailles

Emmanuella is with us today as we go to Versailles.  

We did a quick walk through of the main rooms.  

The Hall of Mirrors.

The inside was only ok for Paul and the kids.  Had lunch at the cafeteria.  

Then we spent the afternoon in the gardens and fountains.  The outside and the gardens are very good.  The grand terrace at the back side of the palace. 

We took a boat to Grand Trianon (French Baroque style château).

The Queen's Hamlet (where Marie Antionette played at being a peasant at the mock dairy farm).

The kids were beat (the place is huge), so we skipped Petit Trianon and headed back.  We dropped Emmanuella off in the city, and drove to Limours for dinner.  But could not find anything affordable, so we ate in Gomeitz.
